Self Care Ideas for 2025
If you have a hard time making time to take care of yourself, I have a few suggestions for you to upgrade your self care routine this year. 

I prioritize others’ needs over my own. I mistakenly believed generosity would guarantee affection. Sadly, I have learned the hard way, multiple times, that is not true. 

I deserve the same love and attention I give to others. 

This year my mission is to make time daily to take care of myself. I am not seeking grand gestures or spending tons of money. I don’t require weekly hour-long massages. That’s a pleasant thought, however, affordability is questionable. AND I am not willing to give up that much time. 

I need simple, affordable, and efficient routines, skills, or tools to facilitate change. 

I am sharing ways I am taking care of myself this year. I hope you find time to love yourself this year! 

Curtis bought me this red light for Christmas. And I love it. 



The light is easy to use, and I can use it while I am watching tv or reading. Using this red light takes little effort. Lamp moved to beside recline, timer set, relax. The lamp warms up fast; perfect for chilly evenings.  





I bought this mat last summer. My hope was laying on this mat would release tension in my shoulders. The description decribes the mat as an accupunture mat. I heard accupuncture is good, but needles scare me. When I first starting laying on the mat, the prickly things hurt. I would allot for 5 minutes in the morning. Now, I can lay on the mat for as long as I choose.  When I get up from the mat, my back feels relaxed, and I feel like the blood is moving through my body better. For best results, wear a thin shirt or no shirt at all. 


Oh the changes in the seasons and the head pressure it brings. I love this gadget when I need a break from my mind. Putting these googles on and drifting away while my eyes and forehead gets a massage is refreshing. My mind slows down and I can actually relax for a few minutes. 


If you aren’t taking baths in epsom salt at least weekly what are you waiting for? Your body needs the help to detox everything you put it through. Added benefit of taking a warm bath is you can read while soaking. Now, you are mutli-tasking. I appreciate the big container. There are lots of warm baths happening in this house. Tip - before getting in the bath, take a quick rinse off shower first. 

I recongise that everyone may not have the same experiences. Some may dispute these products’ effectiveness;  the true impact, though, is the dopamine boost from prioritizing yourself. Having the investment forces me to make the time.
