This weekend, Curtis surprised me with a visit to Flat Top Mountain Farm, it felt like stepping into a dream. Fields of soft purple stretched out before us, and the air was filled with the calming scent of fresh lavender. If you're into essential oils, nature, or just need a break from the chaos of everyday life, this place is a must-visit.

We were lucky enough to catch the Lavender Festival, which still has one more weekend left! On Saturday, we got to watch fresh lavender being distilled right on the farm. The setup was fascinating—like a blend of science and serenity—and the owners? So kind and genuinely passionate about what they do. I could’ve spent hours chatting with them.

But honestly, I couldn’t wait to get out into the field and pick my own lavender. There’s something incredibly grounding about walking through rows of fragrant blooms, snipping stems, and letting your thoughts slow down for once.
As we stood there, surrounded by nature, I told Curtis that I fantasized about spending an entire day in a cozy chair, just being—no phone, no to-do list, just the scent of lavender and the view for company.

It was the kind of day that reminds you to breathe deeply, be present, and savor the small things.
If you're nearby, don’t miss your chance to visit. Trust me—your nervous system will thank you.
