If you don't know what a pierogi is… you are truly missing out! These little pockets of deliciousness—tender dough filled with mashed potatoes, cheese, or other savory goodness—are a comforting, satisfying bite of tradition.
A huge thank you to Amy at Mix, Mince and Mingle for hosting this unforgettable cooking class. This cozy kitchen studio is such a gem—located in Soddy Daisy, TN, just about a 30-minute drive from Dunlap. Totally worth the trip!

I’ve always wanted to try making homemade pierogies from scratch, and this experience did not disappoint. We rolled dough, filled it with love, and laughed our way through the whole process. There was so much food we even had leftovers to take home (the best kind of bonus!).
But this night was about so much more than just the food.
Food brings people together.
Cooking shoulder to shoulder, sharing stories over flour-covered counters, and sitting down to enjoy the meal we created together—it reminded me how special the kitchen really is.

The kitchen is more than just a place to cook. It’s the heart of the home.
It’s where relationships are nurtured, memories are made, and the simple act of preparing a meal becomes a way to show love.
Time spent cooking with others builds connection.

Whether it’s friends, family, or new faces at a class like this one, there’s something deeply human and healing about sharing time, intention, and food. Being present. Creating something together. That’s what feeds the soul.
If you’re looking for a fun and meaningful night out, I highly recommend checking out the upcoming cooking classes at Mix, Mince and Mingle. It’s a perfect mix of creativity, good food, and great company—and it just might become your new favorite tradition.
